Come to Das Nest

Bring a group

Das Nest works best when it’s full. We host artistic residencies, youth exchanges, retreats, and training weeks. Anything between 8 and 25 people that needs a kitchen, a working space, and a village to wake up in.

Past and upcoming: a music residency with 20 international artists (P4L), European writers meetup (Crafted Stories) and the Voices of the Land residency.

Bring your programme. We’ll handle the house, the food coordination, and the logistics of getting 25 people to a village of 200.

Come alone (or almost)

A few weeks a year we open Das Nest as a coliving space for creators, researchers and anyone working on a project that needs four quiet walls and a long dinner table.

You bring the work; a book, an album, a thesis, an idea. We bring the rest: fast Wi-Fi, a kitchen stocked with things from the village market, and 5 to 10 interesting people who’ll also be there.

Dates open a few times a year.

Take the whole house

Two buildings: “The Stone House” and “The New House” connected by a shared garden.

25 beds. 6 rooms. Two kitchens. One long eating table in each house. Fast internet in every corner. A wood stove for winter. A garden with tomatoes in summer.

The rebuild took a year. More than 30 people from 12 countries sanded, painted, cooked and argued about tile colours. You’ll feel them in the walls.

Getting here.

A Coruña airport is 37 minutes by car. Ferrol train station, 25 minutes. We’ve got 2 vans and can pick up groups. Tell us when you’re landing.

Being here.

The Fragas do Eume starts 7 minutes from the door. We can point you at hikes, river pools, the bakery that makes the best empanadas, and the bar where our neighbours gather on Sunday mornings.

Eating here.

We cook together for groups. For smaller stays, the kitchens are yours and the village has a supermarket open 365 days a year.

NOT SURE WHICH ONE FITS?

Tell us what you’re bringing — a group, a project, an idea, a wedding — and we’ll tell you if Das Nest works for it.
